Worship and Creative Support for Weekend and New Life Students Worship
  • Instrumentalist (audition): Able to lead and/or accompany worship songs after a passed audition on one or more of the following musical instruments: Keyboard/Piano, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums/Percussion.
  • Vocalist (audition): Willing to lead and/or offer supporting vocals and harmonies for worship songs after a passed vocal audition.
  • Audio Tech: Learning and running the soundboard at practices and services to provide audio support.
  • Video: Assisting with a camera for worship services.
  • Video Director: Provide guidance for video and ProPresenter operator during the worship service, along with operating the board that changes camera angles.
  • ProPresenter: Queues the slides and media that is shown on screen during worship services.
  • Lighting: Providing lighting support for worship services.
New Life Kids
  • Greeter/Check-In: Welcome families and use iPads to get children checked in when they arrive.
  • Infants Leader (clearances): Assists the Nursery Leaders in caring for children ages 0-1.
  • Toddlers Leader (clearances): Assists the Nursery Leaders in caring for children ages 2-3.
  • Preschool Leader (clearances): Implements lessons for children ages 3-5.
  • Preschool Assistant (clearances): Assists the Preschool Leader with care of children and activities.
  • Small Group Leader (K-2) (clearances): Leads a small group during service of K-2nd
  • Small Group Leader (3-5) (clearances): Leads a small group during service of 3rd-5th
  • Small Group Assistant (clearances): Assists the Small Group Leader with care of children and activities during service.
  • Host (clearances): Leads elementary large group time in an activity or game.
  • Worship Leader: Leads motions and songs during large group time.
  • Tech: Runs ProPresenter and/or sound during large group time.
New Life Special Needs Ministry
  • Greeter/Check-In (clearances): Welcome families, check in children on the iPad, introduce children to their buddy, and possibly transition children to Horizon/ Elevate room.
  • 1:1 Buddy (clearances): Assists children on 1:1 assistance in Elevate/Horizon Program based on child’s level of need.
  • Small Group Leader (clearances): Leads a small group during service of Pre-K to 5th in Horizon Room.
  • Small Group Assistant (clearances): Assists the Small Group Leader with care of children and activities during service.
  • Worship Leader (clearances): Leads motions and songs during large group time.
  • Tech: Assists with technology support such as iPads, communication devices, and ProPresenter.
  • Curriculum Creator: Assists in creating adapted curriculum to meets needs of children in Horizon/Elevate Program.
New Life Students
  • Core Team (clearances): Trained to serve weekly as a Small Group Leader to a specific age group. Attends all services, events, and retreats.
  • Support Team: Greets and welcomes students, introduces new students to their small group, helps with set-up, tear-down, and Snack Shack. Serves monthly.
  • Prayer Team (clearances): Does not attend youth group but prays for NLS leaders and a specifically assigned small group weekly.
  • Crisis Team (clearances): Attends training provided by New Life to become certified. Handles in-house emotional crisis situations, is open to visiting students in the hospital, offers counsel with students during NLS. Serves weekly as needed.
  • NLS Hospitality: Provides homemade baked goods for special events and theme nights. Helps cook meals for in-house mission trips and small group events.
Admin Helpers
  • Office Helpers: Assists office staff on a weekly or as-needed basis with answering the church phone, making copies, assisting with mailings, and computer data entry.
Serve Team
  • Painters: Touch-up painting throughout the buildings and property at New Life.
  • Cleaners: Helps deep-clean throughout the building by vacuuming, dusting, washing windows and doors, etc.
  • Organizers: Organizes areas and items throughout the building depending on needs.
  • Landscapers and Gardeners: Uses skills to landscape the grounds at New Life and make an appealing first impression for guests!
  • Set-up/Tear-down: Helps set up and/or tear down tables, chairs, etc. for services, events, programs, and other ministries held at New Life.
Assimilation
  • Usher: Assists in seating guests at worship services or events at New Life.
  • Greeter: Welcomes guests at the door for worship services. Directs First Time Guests to the Welcome Center and/or The Galaxy.
  • Hospitality: Helps prepare beverages and details that go into making New Life the most welcoming place it can be for worship services! Stays in the Gathering Area to chat with and make guests feel at home, as well as to monitor supplies and restock as needed.
  • Welcome Center/Next Steps: Meets First Time Guests and introduces them to New Life and the ministries here. Is available to answer questions and/or guide in the correct direction.
  • Lord’s Supper Setup: Helps prepare baskets and front table with the elements for the Lord’s Supper once a month.
  • Parking Lot Team: Greets guests in the parking lot as they come in to worship!
  • Online Worship Service Host: Attends the online 9:00am and 10:45am services and greets guests in the chat as they join. Copy/pastes the weekend message notes into the chat and interacts in the chat through prayer when requested.
Discipleship and Care
  • Small Group Leader (training): Trained to lead a weekly small group for anyone (mature Christians, new Christians, and non-Christians).
  • Weekend Prayer Partner (confidentiality agreement): Prays after worship services with those seeking God’s guidance, healing, and aid.
  • Stephen Minister (training, confidentiality agreement): Trained to counsel and support someone going through a difficult season due to illness, loss of a loved one, depression, etc.
  • Prayer Team (confidentiality agreement): Prays throughout their week for prayer requests submitted by guests and church family.
Outreach
  • Blessing Boxes: Prepare and pack boxes of non-perishable food items and supplies to be given to families referred for a blessing.
  • Backpack Ministry: Prepare and pack backpacks and school supplies for students referred for a blessing.
  • Fishbone Ministries (clearances): Helps prepare and serve a warm meal to underprivileged kids in Butler on the 4th Thursday of every month.
Photography
  • Weekend Worship Services: Discreetly photographs before and during weekend worship services of professional quality. Takes candid photos during fellowship times, of the worship band and speaking pastor, etc. Photos to be used for printed promotion and on New Life website/social media pages.
  • New Life Students (clearances): Discreetly photographs this ministry during hang out time, activities, and during worship.  Takes quality photos to be used for promotional resources and on New Life Students social media.
  • New Life Kids (clearances): Discreetly photographs this ministry during worship and game times, and other appropriate moments.  Takes quality photos to be used for promotional resources and on New Life Kids social media.
  • Special Events (clearances): Available to photograph on and off site New Life events (Summer Explosion, Men’s Retreat, small groups, etc.), as well as community events New Life participates in such as Mingle on Main, Sportsman’s Fest, etc. Takes quality photos of those participating to be used for promotional resources and on New Life website/social media.
