What is Stephen Ministry?
Stephen Ministries is a ministry equipping people within our church family - called Stephen Ministers - to walk alongside those who are facing some type of crisis in life while providing confidential one-to-one Christ-centered care for them. For example: illness, death of a loved one, divorce, job loss, infertility, rehabilitation, and the list goes on.
What is a Stephen Minister?
A Stephen Minister is an everyday Christian - man or woman - who is trained to provide confidential one-to-one care to another person experiencing a difficult time in life. Stephen Ministers are people from all walks of life who share a passion for bringing Christ’s love and care to people during a time of need.
What is a Care Receiver?
Care Receivers are people from our church family who receive care from a Stephen Minister. These are people who are struggling through a difficult time in life and would benefit from another person walking alongside them, providing encouragement and prayer. Men are matched with men, women with women.
When would I meet with my Stephen Minister?
A Stephen Minister usually provides care by meeting with their Care Receiver once a week for about an hour. This support will continue for as long as you need.
