This weekend will begin the message series, “All In!’” The teaching text is Mark 8:27-38 and the message is “We Follow Jesus.”
Worship services are Saturday at 6:30pm and Sunday at 8:30am, 10:00am and 11:30am.
The nursery (birth – age 3) is open for all worship services. LIFEkidz worship (ages 4 – grade 5) meets on Saturday at 6:30pm and Sunday at 8:30am, 10:00am and 11:30am.
If you signed up to attend Growth Track: Essentials 201, the class will meet during the 11:30 worship service in the upstairs conference room. See you there!

New Life becomes “Candyville” on Friday, October 27 from 6-8pm! Kids, invite your friends, bring your family and come in costume for a fun evening of Trunk-or-Treating and the Candyville Carnival. Would you like to help with this event or decorate a trunk? Check the “Candyville” box on your Connection Card.
Would you like to be part of a ministry that gives people help, hope & healing when they need it most – while making a difference in your own life? Consider becoming a Stephen Minister and let Jesus care for people through you! Training begins January 2018. For more information, check the “Stephen Minister” box on your Connection Card & plan to attend the Stephen Ministry informational meeting on October 29 following the 11:30am worship service or call 724-436-CARE.
New Life provides “Blessing Bags” of non-perishable food and paper items to families in our community during the Thanksgiving season. Please give us the names of families you wish to receive a Blessing Bag by completing the referral form in this week’s Connection and returning it to the Welcome Center NO LATER than Sunday, October 29. Join the team to sort and pack the bags on Sunday, November 5 at 1 pm by checking the “Blessing Bag” box on your Connection Card. The “Compassion – Close to Home” funds provide the resources for this outreach.
Has adoption or foster care touched your life? Have you thought about beginning this journey? Join other New Life families on Sunday, October 15 at 4pm at the home of Jim & Amy Brown for a time of food, fun and sharing. Children are welcome! Sign up on your Connection Card by checking the “Adoption/Foster” box and Amy Brown will contact you.
If you would like to serve on the East Liberty Food Kitchen Team on Saturday, October 21, please check the “Food Kitchen” box on your Connection Card. The team helps prepare and serve a meal to the guests who come to the kitchen. This is a great one-day mission for families with upper elementary and older children! The Team meets at 8:15am to drive to the Food Kitchen and returns at approximately 1:30pm. Team leader, Ray Isherwood, will contact you with the details.

“Starting Point” – If you are new to New Life or are just looking to find out more about who we are and what we believe then stop at the “Next Steps” area for more information. You may also sign up to attend “Starting Point” on October 22 or November 26. The class meets during the 11:30 worship service .
Are you ready to take the next step? The November GROWTH TRACK classes will meet at 11:30 in the upstairs conference room each Sunday in November during worship. Stop at the “Next Steps” area to sign up for one or more classes.
The Sleeping Mats for the Homeless ministry meets at New Life on the 2nd Monday of the month. Invite a friend and join us on Monday, October 9 from 6-8pm for this ministry that recycles simple grocery bags into awesome mats for the homeless through the art of cutting and crocheting! A fun activity for all ages!

Come hear how Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes impacted the lives of children who received them! On Friday, October 6 at 7:00pm at Zion United Methodist Church (438 Bear Creek Rd.
